The Ivymount School seeks a collaborative Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct and consultative speech and language services to classroom and programs.

*Summary:* The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for providing speech-language therapy services, including assessment, treatment, and documentation according to each student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP); as well as providing consultation and collaboration to multidisciplinary classroom teams on the communication needs of the students.
*Responsibilities*
* Provide individual and/or small group speech therapy services as indicated by a student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP)
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, parent meetings and IEP meetings
* Assess and develop speech and language IEP goals, complete annual IEP reports, recommendations and quarterly progress reports.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of programming and supports designed to address student communication needs identified by the educational team or as indicated by the program
* Develop treatment plans reflective of evidence-based practices
* Work collaboratively with team members in programs/classrooms, as assigned
* Maintain accurate documentation according to COMAR regulations and LEA requirements
* Write speech and language reports when necessary to determine present levels and recommendation for service
* Provide consultation to classroom teachers and parents
* Hold confidential all knowledge of students and their families

*Requirements*
* Master’s degree in the field of Speech-Language Pathology
* Maryland State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
* Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
* Experience delivering school-based speech-language therapy services
* Clinical experience with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related disorders
* Experience using evidence-based practice to make decisions regarding treatment
* Working knowledge of research related to Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related disorders
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Cooperative participation within an interdisciplinary team
* Computer skills related to common office tasks such as email, conducting internet searches, and using MSOffice (e.g., MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) assessment and treatment, including a variety of modalities and speech-generating applications
* Understanding of behavioral principles and instructional strategies for autistic students and those with developmental disabilities
* Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis preferred
