Graphics Assistant


Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, in partnership with a prominent manufacturer in the Kentwood, MI area, is seeking a Graphics Assistant to join their team! Peoplelink offers a wide range of perks such as full benefits, 401K, and profit sharing!



Graphics Assistant Job Summary:

• Pay: $15 - $17 an hour
• Shift Available:
  • 1st Shift: 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Individual will prepare substrates and apply vinyl according to instruction, mount and/or laminate prints, operate and set-up a lamination table for over-laminating or mounting digitally printed products.

Graphics Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow a layout to place vinyl or full color prints on a predetermined base

• Prepare substrates for vinyl application (may include cutting, laminating, cleaning, and maintaining the bases for viny application)
• Weeding excess vinyl that is cut on the plotters
• Perform quality measures pre and post production by accurately reading and interpreting the work order and then proofing for errors
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating, cutting, and mounting printed products
• Learn, understand, and operate equipment within the graphics department to assist where needed
• Help maintain equipment, as well as work area, within the graphics department
• Communicate with fellow associates in a professional manner
• Help unload, store, and inventory graphic materials

Graphics Assistant Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED is required

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up-to 50 lbs. repeatedly
• Previous experience in printing required
• Previous experience with vinyl and lamination preferred
• Working knowledge of Windows Operating System preferred
