Computer Vision (Perception) Engineer - New York

Salary: $200K+ (Equity Included)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Perception Engineer to join a dynamic team in New York .

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience working in Computer Vision and Perception systems, specifically within the context of Robotics , Drones , or other hardware environments. You will play a key role in developing cutting-edge perception systems that power advanced robotics and autonomous platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize computer vision and perception algorithms for autonomous systems, specifically drones or robotic hardware.
• Work on challenges related to sensor fusion , 3D perception, and real-time image processing.
• Develop robust systems that integrate vision-based inputs for autonomous navigation, mapping, and decision-making.
• Collaborate closely with robotics engineers and software developers to ensure seamless integration between perception systems and robotic hardware.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of perception algorithms in real-world scenarios.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Computer Vision and Perception within a robotics or autonomous systems environment.
• Proficiency in languages such as C++, Python , and experience with relevant libraries like OpenCV, PCL, or TensorFlow.
• Experience in developing Machine Learning autonomy stacks on hardware
• Hands-on experience with autonomous systems, preferably drones, robots, or similar hardware platforms.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for developing scalable and reliable systems.
• Experience in working with large-scale data sets and real-time processing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Computer Vision , Robotics , Artificial Intelligence , or a related field.
• Knowledge of deep learning models and frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud-based computing environments for processing large datasets.
