Job Description
Position Description: Overall responsible for the care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding our businesses and buildings in Sheboygan County.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Perform grounds keeping and building maintenance duties
• Cuts lawn using hand, power or riding mower
• Trims and edges around walks, walls, any landscaping, etc.
• Landscape by planting grass, shrubs, and bushes
• Snow removal
• Perform routine maintenance to building as needed
• Sweep walkways of debris
• Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger
• Pulls all weeds
• Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth
• Sprays lawns, trees and shrubs with fertilizers and insecticides
• Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed
• Maintain outside of buildings in up kept manner
• Knowledge of ground keeping equipment and landscaping
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with team members, vendors, and customers
• Assist with light maintenance duties at warehouse locations
• Other job duties as requested
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Dependable attendance
• Hard worker
• Team player
Working Conditions:
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instruction
• Physical demands – employee is frequently required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; sit, climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; or hear.
• Work Environment – employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
