Women’s Associate Designer
Supportive role for rapidly growing womens sportswear and dress apparel division.

Apparel categories:
Cut & Sew Knit Tops and Bottoms, Woven tops, Woven bottoms, Knit and Woven Dresses, Sweaters, Tailored Career Separates such as Blazers and Trousers
Responsibilities:
Flat sketching using illustrator. Experienced enough with illustrator to adapt sketching style to designers’ desired style/proportions.
Initiate tech packs – ability to do detailed garment construction call-outs, but no specing required.
Execute color cads using Adobe Illustrator – able to fill bodies with color, prints and textures
Intake and record acquisition of reference samples.
Maintain fabric library.
Support designers in preparing samples, fabrics, trims to send out to factories.
Help to deliver/pick-up samples, supplies, trims, etc. in the garment center area as needed.
Maintain design office organization.
Soft Skills:
Fast-paced – should be comfortable with switching gears from project to project.
Self-starter – someone who is willing to take initiative and has great attention to detail.
Very Organized – ability to be thoughtful about organizing samples, fabrics, files, etc.
Technical Capabilities:
Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop
Microsoft Office – Especially Excel and Power Point
